1. The accounts are up-to-date and tidy in Xero.

2. Collaborating with the Finance team to adopt best practices and accounting principles.

3. Continuous improvement/professional development: Takes ownership of their own and learning — demonstrating that they are always pushing their knowledge and the Finance team forward.

4. Build strong relationships with the team, which includes our clients.

5. Keeping a high-level overview of budget requirements to ensure success for the client.

6. Assisting the team with financial knowledge to help make future decisions.

• Accounting knowledge. Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and accounting principles
• Xero knowledge.
  • Monthly payrolls are prepared and paid out
  • Accounts payables are entered into Xero and paid to suppliers
  • Prepare, send and client invoices
  • Daily reconciliation of the bank accounts and credit card
  • Monthly expense claims are submitted and paid
  • Bi-monthly GST are finalized and submitted to the IRD
  • PAYE, income tax, provisional tax
• Reporting. Cash-flow and forecast is up to date with the latest financial information from the team.
• Preparing project budget reports and payroll reports as needed.
• End of year financial. Able to assist the accountant when compiling the end of year financial accounts.
