Finance Manager  

SUMMARY

The Finance Manager will generally be responsible for the timely monthly management financial reporting with executive summary and financial highlights analysis. He/she will also be in-charged of the timely compliance of government reportorial requirements and Tax planning. He/she must coordinate and facilitate the process of documenting accounting policies and procedures. He/she must use professional accounting concepts and internal company policies to solve complex accounting issues including the maintenance of internal controls. He/she will also participate in the implementation of monthly financial closing and manage the assignments of each staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Financial Statement interpretation and analysis and recommendation to Management;
• Reviews all the output of associates:
• Financial Statements
• Trial Balance
• Journal Entries
• Reconciliation of Accounts
• Cost Analyses
• Reports
• BIR monthly, quarterly and annual report and remittances
• Prepares and facilitates Management Reports as may be required by the Management;
• Coordinates with other department heads and represents the department on meetings;
• Delegates and monitors work of associates to ensure that the department’s objectives are met;
• Conducts monthly meetings with associates;
• Performs other related jobs as may be assigned by the Corporate Service Director.

PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING

• Profitability Analysis and recommendation
• Compliance to Philippine Accounting Standard (PAS) and Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)
• Compliance to BIR Revenue and Taxation Code
• Sets objectives for the department
• Select and trains associates
• Delegates specific responsibilities to associates
• Determines manpower requirements for the department
• Determines department’s budget

SKILL REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical Expertise:
• Financial statement analysis and interpretation, computerized accounting system, government reportorial compliance and taxation
• With knowledge and experience in using SAP application
• Personal Attributes:
• Possesses and has exhibited business acumen and capability to spot potential business opportunities
• Possesses high presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be emotionally mature and shows potential for growth in a higher position
• Ability to work across all levels in the Organization
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• With keen attention to details
• Able to deliver quality work results even under pressure

PROFESSIONAL DEGREE

• Bachelor’s/ College Degree in Accountancy
• Certified Public Accountant

YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE

• Seven (7) years and up relevant work experience in finance and accounting
• With at least two (2) years of managerial work experience
• Preferably Assistant Manager/Manager specialized in Finance - Audit/Taxation or equivalent.
