Accounting Assistant  

To be assigned in most if not to all, as work responsibility gradually increase

• Prepare and submit customer invoices
• Code, post and receipt payments
• Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payment
• Check, verify and process invoices
• Prepare payments (check vouchers) for signature and for release
• Sort, code and enter accounts payable data
• Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
• Maintain vendor files
• Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records
• Assist in month end reporting procedures
• Helps in Handling tax processing and other liquidation matters
• Find and use accounting data to resolve accounting problems and discrepancies
• Track and audit petty cash
• Perform other related task.

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Commerce or equivalent.
• With at least six months -1 year experience in related field
• Must be computer literate and familiar with basic accounting tools such as MS Excel and/or Open Office
• With basic knowledge in Quickbooks is a definite plus
• Should have good communication skills both written and oral
• Must be driven, analytical and highly organized, and capable problem solvers.
• Good Team player.
