Transfer Agency Manager  

Role Summary:

The Transfer Agency Manager oversees the registry and settlements processes around fund subscription and redemption orders.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversees processing of daily fund subscription and redemption orders and recording into the registry system
• Oversees processing of trade confirmation with counterparties
• Checks accounting entries for daily transactions uploaded in the registry system
• Oversees generation and dispatch of Confirmation of Participation/Redemption and Statement of Accounts for funds investors
• Oversees Transfer Agency Associates in safekeeping of Fund Subscription and Redemption order documents
• Oversees Transfer Agency Associates in monitoring collection of subscription payments from fund investors
• Checks instructions to custodian/s, merchant partner banks, fund providers, and other channels as required for funding and settlement of fund transactions
• Monitors accurate and timely settlement of all transactions
• Coordinates with the third-party service provider for fund registry functions and reporting
• Oversees submission of regulatory reports to SEC and AMLC, and other third party reporting.
• Responsible for overseeing daily production contribution and overall development of direct report/s
• Complies with regulatory requirements, company and group policies; maintain compliance awareness

• Knowledge of the banking and financial services industries and asset management products
• Efficient and thorough; strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment; firm commitment on quality and excellence.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to develop relationships with multiple stakeholders throughout an organization
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Self-motivated, able to work independently in a relatively unstructured environment
• Proficiency with MS Office applications particularly MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word, as well as familiarity with trading systems (Bloomberg etc.)
• Knowledge of accounting and financial concepts, experience with bank accounting and financial statement analysis (highly preferred)
• Ability to identify and resolve potential issues / problems
• High level of integrity

Education and experience required:

• Relevant educational qualifications, preferably in university degree in economics, finance, business, accounting or similar courses
• At least 5 years relevant work experience, particularly in settlements operations in banking or investments industry
• At least 3 years relevant experience as supervisor or manager.
