Under the supervision of the Director, the Head for Marketing is in charge of all matters related to the strategizing, planning and promotion of all sales efforts of Press products. This position is tasked to engage in market research and use up-to-date and ethical marketing strategies, targeting the most appropriate market audience. Part of the major task is to ensure that the products of the Press are sold and consumed according to set yearly targets.
Job Description:
- Marketing Responsibilities
- Plans with the Director the strategic marketing efforts for all press products: academic/scholarly, literary, textbooks and other imprints.
- Prepares and submits to the Director and Business and Operations Head the yearly marketing plan Establishes and sustains various publishing and distribution/dealer/ bookstore and other future outlet networks
- Implements, advertises, and promotes Press’ campaigns on all platforms toward branding of Press books
- Analyzes sales and performance of Press titles and recommends promotion programs for specific titles
- Designs marketing programs that match target markets across different channels of publication and media
- Manages social media networks
- Coordinates book launches and other book events with the Director and Business and Operations Head
- Promotes Press products in the local, national, and international markets
- Joins quarterly board meetings when necessary
- Conducts market research and studies industry trends to develop new effective and creative distribution networks
- Plans, designs, and supervises the Press stand and display in the annual MIBF •Strategizes and liaises with bookshops for a more effective display and promotion of Press products.
- Schedules and coordinates AdMU Press exhibits/sales with conference organizers
- Develops a freelance sales force for AdMU Press textbooks
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervises Marketing Assistants or outsourced marketing work
- Trains, assigns work and appraises the Marketing Assistant at the end of every Fiscal year
- Evaluates the performance of the Marketing in coordination with the Director and the Head of Business Development
Trình độ tối thiểu
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related course
- With at least 5 years of professional experience in the field of marketing and sales
- Must be motivated and aware of the products of the Press
- Must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office application, Adobe and basic Systems Databases.

The Ateneo de Manila University (Ateneo) is one of the leading universities in the Philippines. More than 150 years in existence, the Ateneo has grown into a major Jesuit institution. Officially it became a university in 1959. It offers over 100 academic degree programmes.
Ateneo offers Basic Education (Grade School, Junior and Senior High School). In addition, the Loyola Schools (college) is made up of four schools (Social Sciences; Humanities; Science and Engineering; and Management) that offer graduate and undergraduate degrees, with a total enrolment of about 10,000 students per year.
