Systems Analyst  

The primary role of the Systems Analyst (SA) is to take part as a liaison in the major activities of the Software Development Team of Astoria Hotels and Resorts. This includes involvement in data gathering, planning, development/acquisition, testing, deployment, and training for all proposed systems and solutions for the entire organization. The following enumerates specific tasks that must be carried out by the position:

• Communication with stakeholders to determine specific requirements of the project. This includes identifying the scope of work, limitations, objectives, the relevance of all identified features, and translation thereof to a standardized technical documentation. SA shall connect all these information with the development team.
• Study and preparation of cost and benefits analysis in aid of management and high-level decision making
• Analysis of currently deployed systems and identification of weaknesses and possible enhancements
• Preparation of all resources needed to commence software projects and initiatives
• Oversee the installation and configuration of new systems to customize them for the organization
• Conduct high-level testing to augment technical testing efforts of the development team
• Technical writing and Documentation

  • User’s manual
  • Test Documents, etc.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Knowledge in SDLC methodologies and design trends
• Knowledge and familiarity in software structures and different deployment architectures
• Software project management
• Has experience in software/systems development
