HR | Payroll Specialist

Join an innovative tech company that doubles in size each year. We are looking for a responsible and professional HR/Payroll Specialist to join our team. One that can handle all communications with the company from a remote position.

The ideal candidate should be able to communicate through multiple channels and MUST be very organized.

Responsibilities:

• Collect daily, weekly or monthly timesheets
• Prepare employees’ compensation on a monthly basis
• Distribute and gather signed/filled out invoices
• Receives and coordinates requests for leave and other absences
• Report on weekly and monthly expenses
• Enter new employees’ data (e.g. bank accounts) into internal databases
• Answer questions about compensation, benefits, and insurance deductions
• Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records

The right person for this role:

• Proven work experience as a Payroll Officer/Specialist, Payroll Clerk or similar role
• Strong math skills with an ability to spot numerical errors
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
• Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant or other relevant administrative support experience
• Must have excellent English communication skills both in written and voice
• Must be organized and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment
• Proactive in solving problems with great decision-making skills
• Acts with discretion and utmost confidentiality
• Strong understanding of industry market and conditions
• Working knowledge of technical software that is specific to the industry
• High regard for quality assurance
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
