- Manage the day-to-day activities of the General Accounting Team and responsible for the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of Journal Entries and Account Reconciliations in accordance with relevant local and global standards including but not limited to meeting both internal and external requirements while fostering key relationships with delivery stakeholders both locally and globally.
- Owner of all General Accounting Processes and ensures adherence to prescribed approvals and minimum requirements to comply with Accounting Principles and Accenture Policies including but not limited to the overall month end, quarter end and year end close process.
- Approve and post Journal Entries
- Conducts Pre-close and post close discussions with various stakeholders. Provide technical expertise and advise to the General Accounting Team on complex accounting issues
- Identify, and if needed run and co-sponsor, Finance-related process improvements and innovation initiatives
- Additional responsibility when applicable or assigned
- Point of contact and trouble-shooter for escalations, issues and concerns related to General Accounting
- Participates in monthly service management reviews with key stakeholders
- Assist in facilitation of requests for services that are beyond the standard services
- Responsible for managing SLAs and relationships with other groups
- Develop and maintain working relationships with entity, workgroup and geographic key contacts
- Assist in building strong succession plan for self, and BCP for team
- Mentor and counsel team members assigned to work on program/project
- Demonstrate effective teaming skills both within and outside of the team
- Encourage team members to share knowledge and to leverage proven best practices
- Participate in people development activities outside of the team (e.g. community activities, recruiting, and teaching)
Trình độ tối thiểu
- Graduate of BS Accountancy
- Must be a CPA
- At least 5 years in General Accounting
- Has experience in preparation of Journal Entries and Account Reconciliations
- 2 years people management experience
- Has worked in an extensive ERP environment
- Proficient in MS Excel including functions, pivot, and simple macros
- Familiarity with Philippine transaction taxes
