AboitizPower

The position will support the Manager in managing and leading the tax operations and accounting of the Aboitiz Renewables, Inc. including provision of oversight onstartups or small operating companies that may need support in the group in terms of tax operations and accounting.

Further, this position will help oversee the Parent/Holdco tax operations and accounting function and may also provide oversight/guidance to start ups on tax reportorial requirements, both local and international, selected transactional taxation, and other incidental tasks such as but not limited to tax planning, tax refund, tax audit, books of accounts compliance, deferred tax accounting and maintenance of the Tax Document Management System in coordination with AEV Tax, Advisory and Compliance Services (TACS).

The role will also provide accounting and financial reporting functions as deemed necessary

Outcomes Expected and Responsibilities:

 

Tax Accounting

<ul>
	<li>Performs and manages provisioning of income taxes, both current and deferred for ARI Parent Holdco and ARI COnsolidated Financial Statements, as needed.</li>
	<li>Reviews selected transactional taxation on foreign transactions, forex denominated loans, equity transactions, special transactions and other projects.</li>
</ul>

Tax Compliance

<ul>
	<li>Ensures timely filing and settlement as well as submission of reports and documents in compliance with government statutory and regulatory requirements of BIR and LGUs.</li>
	<li>Ensures that regular updates in legislation, regulations, memorandum, directives and requirements are implemented in the accounting systems, policies, processes and procedures</li>
</ul>

Tax Management

<ul>
	<li>Monitoring of special transactions that will impact future tax reconciliation.</li>
	<li>Provides Accounting Manager and AVP Accounting with reports relating to tax projections and analysis needed for tax planning and decision-making</li>
</ul>

Tax Administrative Tasks

<ul>
	<li>Monitors the tax compliance of all companies handled by Renewables Group, including providing needed support on the special tax compliance requirements of ARI international and foreign-registered entities, as needed</li>
</ul>

General Accounting and Financial Reporting 

<ul>
	<li>Provides support in Accounting Operations and financial reporting during month-end and year-end reviews which may or may not impact tax operations including developing audit schedules, reconciliations, and analysis</li>
</ul>

Tax Supervisor

The position holder provides technical and administrative assistance to ARI Chief Growth Officer (CGO) for analysis, summaries and reports, including technical and financial presentations that will address the requirements of the CGO and ARI. 
 
The position holder also researches, prioritizes, and follows up on multiple incoming issues and concerns addressed to the Chief Growth Officer, including those of a sensitive and/or confidential nature; determines appropriate course of action, referral or response. 
 
Outcomes Expected and Responsibilities:

	<li>Works closely and coordinates with the different internal stakeholders on behalf of the CGO for project updates, compliance monitoring and other project initiatives</li>

	<li>Assists in researching and writing of standard operating procedures and the periodic review of the technical manuals, policies and procedures.</li>

	<li>Tracks CGO’s tasks and projects to ensure appropriate prioritization of projects with respect to deadlines and organizational developments.</li>

Role Summary

The position holder is responsible to oversee and produce the civil engineering design analysis, plans, and requirements for RE projects in the different phases of a power project development (desktop investigations, screening, pre-development, and development) across multiple projects to achieve the objective of developing and executing financially and commercially viable renewable energy projects.

Outcomes Expected and Responsibilities:

	<li>Oversees and supervises site reconnaissance activities to ensure that all required data are procured within the approved schedule, timeline, and safety protocols.</li>
	<li>Participates in the exploration stage of new projects which will include interacting with LGUs and IPs on-site to explain and help them understand the development and effects of the renewable power projects in their respective communities</li>
	<li>Prepares the Design Criteria based on the preliminary OODR (Owner’s Operation and Design Requirement), project location, boundary maps, topographic maps, aerial photographs, hydrology data, geology and geotechnical studies, and all related engineering reports.</li>
	<li>Communicates with the draftsmen to deliberate the concepts and facilities that the Project Development Team is considering and to resolve design issues as they arise.</li>
	<li>Analyzes design issues and ensures corrective action is taken. Makes design recommendations to solve technical and non-technical issues.</li>
	<li>Oversee change in the design and updates in the drawings and presentations, as necessary, in close coordination with the engineering designers to ensure compliance to quality and timeline.</li>
	<li>Works closely with third-party consultants in the provision of civil engineering designs for a renewable power project during the conduct of the pre-development and development stage</li>
	<li>Ensures and confirms that designs adhere to construction specifications and safety standards by strict compliance with the Design Criteria, the preliminary OODR (Owner’s Operation and ng Design Requirements), and with the current legislation, standards, and codes of practice as applicable.</li>
