Senior Network Admin  

Information technology (IT) senior network administrators are responsible for providing system- and network-related solutions for their organization's information-technology assets. They oversee the functioning of networking equipment and follow strict maintenance standards. Their experience in the IT and networking fields is also used to develop new strategies to optimize server operation. They work with other IT team members, supervisors, and end-users to work on connectivity problems. IT senior network administrators also manage complex system requirements and create technical documentation for users.

Job Description:

• Provide support for all hardware, software and network problems reported, documenting problems and solutions as required for the global enterprise network.
• Manage, maintain and update a support issue ticketing system to track all items to resolution and to identify support trends.
• Adhere to and champion Network Security Policies and principles.
• Fulfill service level agreements, with respect to availability, performance, capacity and security.
• Adhere to and champion the ITIL based principles established for problem, change and asset management. Effectively utilize the System Management tools available to support the principles.
• Act as the Situation Manager, as required to provide relief, repair, reform for unplanned events adversely affecting the computing/network environment.
• Work closely with various business units to ensure voice infrastructure is meeting functional requirements
• Responsible for maintaining and updating infrastructure documentation
• Perform daily system monitoring for all systems.
• Report and/or escalate issues to management.
• Ability to serve as a role model and mentor
• Provide support with restorations upon request while maintaining security and data integrity.
• Establishes and implements network policies, procedures, and standards and ensures their conformance with information systems and organization objective
• Trains users on network operation
• Assisting with support of VMware and Windows management, servers and infrastructure applications
• Capacity review and planning for VMware environments.

  • Cisco CCNA R/S
  • Vmware VCA
  • Microsoft MCSE
  • Cisco UCS/ Cisco Nexus
• Preferably with experience in:
  • Cisco CCNP R/S
  • Vmware VCP
  • CCNA or CCNP Data Center (DC)
  • Some experience with AWS
• Must have the following in CCNP DC
  • Cisco UCS servers
  • Cisco Nexus switches
  • Cisco ACI
