Web Developer  

The Mission:

The Software Engineer is responsible for creating applications for Quorum’s e-commerce platforms. The Software Engineer is an advocate of the end-user: they identify ways to create a shopping experience that is more attractive experience for our consumers.

He’ll conceptualize, design and implement application features of an online retail platform both for the front end and the back end.
Interface with other teams on a daily basis, including creative and backend engineering teams.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Experience developing a customer facing web application
• Proven track record in building an online store / e-commerce website. References and a portfolio are required.
• Experience in designing a system that manages inventory and order fulfillment.
• 3+ years of experience using HTML/CSS, PHP, JavaScript, SQL, MySQL, jQuery. XML, AJAX, and Agile Methodologies
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, Magento, Python, Hadoop, and RUBY are a plus
• Experience developing an API (OAuth, XML, JSON, REST, etc.)
• Experience in fast-paced, start-up environments where engineers play a direct role in conceptualizing product requirements
• Ability to work collaboratively with developers as well as merchandising, and editorial/creative staff
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms and complexity analysis
• BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, (or related field) or comparable work experience
