Accounting Assistant  

Accounting Assistant (Accounts Payable Officer) is responsible to perform day to day processing of accounts payables to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner by anlyzing its source documents. He/She is also responsible for providing financial, administrative , and clerical services in order to ensure effective and efficient payable related transactions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive and verify invoices and requisitions of goods and services
• Charge expenses to specific accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices, official receipts and other source documents
• Issue payments for vendors, bills, and other payables through checks without delay
• Records all checks issued and its transmittal
• Reconciliation of discrepancies with suppliers and other creditors
• Make sure that the vouchers and its attachments are forwarded to the document control officer assigned
• Updates the system on the details of the bills, official receipts, sales invoices and other documents received.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic Knowledge in Mathematics
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills
• Effective communication skills, both in oral and written
• Proficiency in spreadsheets
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervison

REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Commerce or equivalent.
• At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
