IT Officer  

The position is responsible for handling the in-house programming and development of modules of the TWOGIE platform and its corresponding enhancements.

Duties:

• Development and Maintenance of the System Source Code and Database
  • Develop additional functions and other system enhancements based on provided business requirements
  • Execute specific changes to system databases (new fields, new field values, etc.)
  • Project Management:
    • Confirms project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data, and output requirements with analyst, supervisor, and client.
    • Arranges project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements; preparing a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic.
    • Encodes project requirements by converting work flow information and business requirements into computer language.
    • Confirms platform operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes.
    • Prepares reference for users by writing operating instructions.
    • Maintains historical records by documenting program development and revisions
    • Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
    • Handles additional projects as needed
• Bug Fixes
  • Address bugs or conflicts of new functions with existing functions as site functionality grows due to new business requirements
• Database Management
  • Perform all database management functions, such as:
    • Conduct of manual back-up of databases and their recovery/ restorations as needed
    • Enrollment of system users
    • Data clean-up to protect integrity of database data, including correction of corrupted files/ uploads
    • Other functions as required from time to time

• At least 2 years related working experience
• Proficiency in the following programming languages
  • Phalcon
  • Wordpress
  • HTML/ CSS
  • JS
  • MySQL
• Excellent project management skills
