Corporate Secretary  

This role exists as we require a highly competent individual to provide internal counsel to management on legal matters. Also review contracts, documents, craft legal agreements, advise on legal matters and drive government compliance. The Corporate Secretary will be supported by an external lawyer on retainer and be the final step before documents, contracts and compliance issues reach them.

Job responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

• Ensures that the company is in full regulatory compliance with all relevant laws, rules, or regulations as required by relevant Philippine laws/authorities.
• Drafts or reviews contracts, policies, correspondences and other documents.
• Advises management on legal issues through verbal and written opinion/advice pertaining to regulatory compliance, labor, human relations, etc.
• Prepares documents and provides review and guidance on contracts, new business ventures, and transactional matters.
• Furnish management with progress reports and collating information related to business processes.

• Understanding of the the Philippine corporate legal system and how it affects business processes.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Demonstrable past experience in handling and producing legal documents.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and great problem solving skills.
• Can work with minimum supervision and can effectively handle pressure.

Preferable:

• Experience in similar role.
• Experience in HR and/or Operations Management is an advantage.
• Understanding of the Telecommunications industry favourable but not required.
• Strong Tagalog and Visayan communication skills.
