Assistant Product Development Manager  

Summit Digital websites lead the industry in reaching targeted audiences passionate about a wide range of interests – fashion, beauty, food, entertainment, home, travel, monitoring, business, and pop culture

The Assistant Product Development Manager will be working on internal platforms and products, including the fifteen (15) digital titles of Summit Media. His/her responsibilities will include: Market Research, Product Definition, and Product Lifecycle Management.

As an Assistant Product Development Manager, you will:

• Understand customer needs and bring business strategies to life through product features and functionalities that will deliver exceptional customer experience across channels and devices.
• Drive product development with cross-functional teams by scoping requirements from stakeholders; and translating these requirements into product features and functionalities.
• Create documentation relating to new product concepts and design (i.e. project brief, wireframes, flowchart, sitemap, product specifications, etc.)
• Work closely with Project Management, User Experience, and Technical teams.
• Responsible for seeing initiatives to launch, including: ensuring specifications compliance, user acceptance testing, and data setup planning.
• Work closely within the Digital Operations team to ensure proper analytics tracking is in place.
• Responsible for tracking impact of new features and functionalities and for ongoing testing and optimization of these features.

Other Functions:

• Partner with Manager on developing and maintaining the roadmap and framework for ongoing product optimizations as it relates to features/functionalities.
• Strong analytical skills in using data to make sound recommendations affecting business decisions and results.

Partner with the manager on seeking new opportunities/areas for improvement/innovation through analytics and/or consumer research.

• College Graduate
• 3-5+ years of related experience; preferably from a digital/publishing company.
• Strong detail orientation with the ability to see/maintain a strategic perspective.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies.
• Familiar with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed and push work thru.
• Must be flexible to adapt to continuous change.
• Strong analytical and planning skills;
• Good communication and presentation skills;
• Excellent problem-solving skills;
