Associate Product Manager  

There aren’t many product roles in startups in the country, but over here, we have a openings for a few.

We are looking for someone who loves all aspects of building and managing a product - customer development, research and customer interviews, writing product specs, managing timelines, documentation, writing customer support guidelines, making and implementing marketing plans, managing implementation cycles, making product wireframes, making prototypes, etc. It’s a very fun role in a very fun startup, but it won’t be easy!

You will be working with a product team comprised of programmers and designers. You will be responsible for making sure products are built, shipped on time, and are useful. You will also be expected to learn a lot, and fast -- we are a company that believes in self-improvement and learning.

We are looking for someone who has both soft skills and hard skills to make sure things happen. Since we strongly believe in learning, these skills are not all required. There will be mentorship, learning sessions, and actual work assignments for you to improve and learn new hard skills. But, we will still test you on these skills to see where how well you will fit into the teams with openings.

The required soft skills include:

• Oral and written communication
• The ability to simplify ideas
• Keeping users in mind
• Knowing when to be strict and when to allow slack
• Knowing when to step in and when to let the team make decisions
• The ability to dive into detail
• The ability to zoom out for vision

The required hard skills include:

• Wireframing
• Prototyping
• Financial analysis
• Marketing
• Basic programming / understanding of coding
• Looking at and analysing product metrics
• Project management
• Quality assurance testing
• Visual and experience design

You should be:

• Able to communicate confidently
• Able to make wireframes and can write product specs clearly
• Very comfortable with prototyping, getting user feedback, and designing around it
• Very willing to get your hands dirty to do what the team needs you to do; no job is beneath you
