Miêu Tả Về Công Việc
- Download, convert and upload GIS data available from internal and external sources to make them usable
- Perform GIS data quality control, including reviewing data for completeness and accuracy; identify, and correcting errors or omissions in the data
- Catalog and inventory GID data including metadata creation
- Input, update and maintain GIS database including back-ups and also linkages to other databases
- Perform GIS spatial analysis
- Create map layouts and views and generate maps and reports
- Desk-based data capture (digitizing) to convert paper maps to GIS datasets
- Initiate or train others to capture GIS data in different formats using Global Positioning Satellite equipment, electronic data recorder, digitizers and other means
- Improve troubleshoot applications and train others in the use of these applications.
- Facilitate planning meetings and workshops when required
- Track and monitor any GIS-related concerns of DMS
- Monitor the VCA Digitalization activities in chapters and ensure smooth implementation of work plan activities
- Coordinate with NHQ and chapter staff relating to GIS related work including Digitalization initiatives
Trình độ tối thiểu
- A graduate of any four (4) years course
- Knowledge of different data collection methodologies
- Knowledge of and ability to understand information management practices and procedures
- Experience in training, coaching, and capacity building
- Proven skills to analyze statistical information
- Ability to translate planning - specifications into technical briefs for data capture and analysis, vice versa
- High level of written and spoken English is required.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- The capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult working circumstances.
- Strong computer proficiency.
- Knowledge of GIS is desirable
- Experience with implementing and reporting DM programs and activities desirable
