Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Performs various laboratory examinations on collected blood as mandated by the Department of Health on all blood units for transfusion.
- Prepares blood component.
- Carries out proper storage and issuance of blood and blood components.
- Performs serological tests for out-patients and PRC staff.
- Performs the function of phlebotomist or receptionist whenever necessary.
- Keeps accurate records and provides reports on laboratory.
- Helps in the maintenance of sanitation and upkeep of equipments and facilities, proper disinfection, and disposal of laboratory wastes.
- Supervises and trains medical technologist interns, trainees, and volunteers in the laboratory.
- Measures and monitors performance of equipment and reagents, in line with quality assurance.
- Ensures that the laboratory licenses are up to date.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by superiors.
Trình độ tối thiểu
- At least a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology.
- Medical Technologist license holder.
- Preferrably with a minimum of one year work-related experience.
