ITOPS Engineer/NOC  

AS OUR ITOPS Engineer, YOU WILL:

• Monitor and support the production environment and core services
• Identify, resolve or escalate any anomalies before any form of service degradation/downtime is experienced
• Ensure that assigned or escalated requests to other internal teams or 3rd party service providers are adequately followed-up
• Monitor and oversee all incoming service requests, alerts, events and incidents
• Proactively monitor the company’s datacenters, infrastructure and systems
• Maintain and improve the NOC monitoring tools
• Review monitoring data and present recommendations
• Coordinate all communication for production incidents
• Automate repetitive support processes
• Assist in streamlining internal processes
• Recommend improvements to solve any potential shortcomings

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

• Has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or any related course
• At least 2 years of experience working in a similar support function
• Good knowledge of system and network management practices
• Exposure to technologies such as JIRA, Confluence, Zabbix, Grafana, Dynatrace, Graylog/Splunk and Pingdom
• Familiar with Linux-based systems and has basic Linux CLI and SysAdmin skills
• ITIL Foundation Certification is an advantage
• A driven and result-oriented attitude, must be analytical and organized
• A strong customer focus and knowledge of IT Service Management standards and processes
• Is excellent in both oral and written English communication
• Is curious, responsible and committed
