University Research Associate  

The UP Diliman Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Development is looking for a University Research Associate (for Business Development) for its Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Section. The person will primarily undertake marketing and management of University technologies and IPs and building of relationships with technology providers and adopters. The successful applicant will also:

• Liaise between researchers, government agencies, and industry partners for technology transfer
• Seek new investors in mature technologies and researches of UP Diliman
• Evaluate market potential of innovations from UP Diliman
• Prepare valuation reports for mature technologies
• Prepare business plans for mature technologies

The OVCRD IP & Technology Transfer Section handles all of the patents, copyrights and other IP rights, as well as innovations and technologies of UP Diliman. In OVCRD, we offer the unique opportunity to work with both the University researchers and industry experts.

The initial appointment will be on a probationary (contractual) basis, but after the probationary period, the successful applicant shall be regularized upon recommendation of the head of the unit.
