The Digital Content Editor is primarily responsible for implementing and maintaining the digital brand's overall look, voice and content. S/he ensures the quality and timely completion of every issue through the efficient management of the brand's staff, budget and deadlines. S/he is also responsible for the digital brand's public image and network.

S/he is in charge of creating Digital Media editorial boards and overseeing a team composed of a Content Writer and Multimedia Artist. S/he may coordinate with the DCS team regarding revenue-generating editorial campaigns. The Digital Content Editor curates what gets published on the website and how it will be perceived by the digital readers, editorial and content pieces and features. This role also requires the DCE to develop the brand's budgets and manage all the day-to-day operations. The DCE serves as the brand's representative at social functions.

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, Mass Communications and related disciplines

Years of Related Experience

• At least 2 years DIGITAL WRITING and Editorial experience, preferably from Digital Agencies and Media Networks
• SEO writing experience is a plus

Technical Competencies

Required:

• Strong writing and editing skills
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Basic knoweldge of HTML and Wordpress
• Familiarity with basic SEO best practices and keyword research process and tools
• Experience working with HTML and Content Management Systems (Wordpress)

Plus:

• Experience in guest posting and back linking
• Experience in Social Media Marketing and Content Marketing
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools and Google Keyword Planner
• A great attitude and passion for Digital Marketing
• Basic knowledge in Graphics/Design
