Copywriter  

The Copywriter is responsible for providing textual content in order to grab the target audience’s attention. He/She must understand the clients' advertising goals and generate original copy materials that will promote or sell their products. The Copywriter also writes advertorials and when necessary, press releases.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Attends meetings to discuss the clients' requirements and core messages.
• Produces original copy ideas with the objective of capturing the target audience's attention, such as creating body copy, slogans, scripts, etc.
• Generates various copy options for approval and development
• Ensures that the material produced is factually correct
• Gains deep understanding of the product, target audience and competitor activities in the market.
• Explores different ideas and concepts with the creative team.
• Manages multiple projects within the time limits and meets deadlines without compromising the quality.
• Performs other related tasks and functions that may be assigned from time to time.

• Educational Background
  • Degree in advertising, marketing, design, writing, or journalism or other related fields.
• Years of Related Experience
  • Preferably with 6 months to 1-year experience in an advertising agency
• Technical Competencies
  • Highly articulate and skilled in writing clear, concise and grammatically correct copy
  • Should have an excellent command of words, fluency with the language, imaginative and persuasive style of expression and awareness in commerce and popular culture
  • knowledge in advertising techniques and new industry trends.
  • Self-motivated and well organized with an eye for detail,
  • Able to work well in a team
  • Able to handle pressure and deliver on deadlines.
  • Able to take on board feedback and follow the codes of advertising practice.
