Writer (BluPrint)  

Since 1999, BluPrint has had a comprehensive grasp of the design industry.

The best design sourcebook continues to speak to designers, architects, students, and enthusiasts of various industries. These include the latest trends in local and international architecture, interior design, landscape, arts and product design.

The Writer (for Bluprint) is primarily responsible for producing copy that is reflective of the magazine’s overall voice and content.

JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides content and concepts, pitches of stories or story angles during regular story conferences
• Contributes high-quality, error-free content that is truthful, educational, enjoyable and aligned with the brand strategy.
• Writes and produces major or majority of sections and stories as assigned by the Editor-in-chief, Managing or Associate Editor.
• Assists in proofreading, fact-checking and copy editing of all articles to ensure that all stories have the magazine’s voice.
• Conducts interviews and transcribe them as needed.
• Attends and assists in photoshoots, as needed.
• Maintains good working relations with contributors and monitors the quality and timeliness of their submissions
• Books contributors, as needed

• At least 1 year writing experience.
• Interest in and exposure to areas relevant to the theme of the assigned magazine.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Above average proficiency in writing.
• Highly competent, driven and committed to excellence.
• Has integrity and high moral standards.
• Detail-oriented with a high tolerance for stress.
• Confident and presentable.
