Makerspace Retail Staff  

The Makerspace Retail Staff is both a back-office and front-facing position.

On the back-office side, the MRS is tasked to ensure maintenance and upkeep of the makerspace. This includes:

• Housekeeping duties before and after the shift (cleaning, organizing, moving furniture, maintaining displays)
• Daily checking of all materials, tools, equipment, products, and all other items in the makerspace
• Repairs and maintenance of basic makerspace assets as deemed appropriate by management
• Inventory management of all makerspace assets, including but not limited to products for sale, consumables, hand tools, and other materials
• Preparation and daily submission of relevant reports
• Liaison with 3rd parties in relation to the makerspace (LGU, mall administration, etc.)
• Assistance on the preparation, mobilization, and setup of any events that company joins (e.g. expos)
• Other back-office duties that the MRS may be assigned from time-to-time

On the front-facing side, the MRS is the primary point person for dealing with retail customers. This includes:

• Advanced product and service familiarity in order to explain to customers the makerspace’s many offerings
• Attending to customers’ questions or concerns
• Touring new customers around the facility
• Selling and marketing the makerspace and its offerings
• Processing purchases of customers
• Receiving customer inquiries
• Working with makerspace facilitators to ensure quality service
• Rendering the above at offsite events (e.g. trade shows)
• Assisting workshops conducted by Makerspace Facilitators
• Other front-facing duties that the MRS may be assigned from time-to-time

• With 1-year work experience in retail
• Willing to work mall hours and weekends
