Main Responsibility Area:

Nokia Technology Center Philippines Inc. is looking for a Lab IT Security Engineer for Laboratory our Laboratory Services Delivery team. As the content owner, operator and designer, the team enables and operates industry best-in-class R&D laboratories. He/She will be responsible for day-to-day security operations activities such as but not limited to:

• Reviews security and network events that are populated in Central Log Server.
• Investigates intrusion attempts and performs in-depth analysis of exploits.
• Provides network intrusion detection expertise to support timely and effective decision making of when to declare an incident.
• Conducts proactive threat research.
• Analyzes a variety of network and host-based security appliance logs (Firewalls, NIDS, HIDS, Syslog, etc)
• Independently follows procedures to contain, analyze, and eradicate malicious activity.
• Documents all activities during an incident and provides leadership with status updates during the life cycle of the incident.
• Creates final incident report detailing the events of the incident.
• Provides information regarding intrusion events, security incidents, and other threat indications and warning information.
• Assists with the implementation of processes and procedures to improve incident response times and analysis of incidents.
• Performs other duties as directed by the Lab Head and MN Lab Security Lead.

Job Requirements:

• University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor degree) in Computer Science, Information Systems Security, or a related disciplines

• Working knowledge of the Linux Operating system (CentOS, Red Hat, Ubuntu).

• Working knowledge of the Windows Operating System (Windows 7, Windows 2012).

• Scripting Skills (e.g. Python, shell scripting, PowerShell).

• Familiarity with network security methodologies, tactics, techniques and procedures.

• Possess a comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP protocol, and security architecture.

• Experience with enterprise anti-virus solutions, virus outbreak management, and the ability to differentiate virus activity from directed attack patterns.

• Experience performing security/vulnerability reviews of network environments.

• Experience with IPS/IDS and other computer network defense security tools.

• Experience reviewing and analyzing network packet captures.

• Experience in NID monitoring and incident response.

• Experience with Malware analysis techniques and methodologies.

• Industry recognized professional certification such as CISSP, Security is an advantage

• Experience with network hardware (network switches, routers & firewalls)

• Experience with IT infrastructure and environment monitoring tool - PRTG / Nagios

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
