Purchasing Staff  

The Purchasing Assistant will monitor inventory levels, make efficient and timely purchases in support of sales efforts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure products are sourced with competitive pricing and superior quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitors inventory levels to determine how much quantity to purchase and when to purchase while considering purchase lead times and Client order fulfillment dates.
• Creates Purchase Orders and monitors their progression from submission to Supplier, to receipt of materials purchased, to proper documentation, and finally to endorsement to the Accounting Department for proper payment.
• Assists in coordinating with Importation Brokers for Purchase Transactions from Foreign Suppliers.
• Periodically checks pricing from other Suppliers to ensure the Company always sources at the best price.
• Ensures that materials purchased are as per Quality and Quantity specification.
• Coordinates with the Logistics Department for any activities required for the pick-up or delivery of the materials purchased.

• Must be a graduate of any course. Management-related courses are an advantage.
• Must have at least one (1) year working experience in a procurement or importation capacity.
• Must be proficient in standard office applications such as a document, presentation, and spreadsheet application
• Must have the following skill sets: communication (oral and written), interpersonal, problem-solving, negotiation, persuasion, active listening and learning, critical thinking, analytical thinking and time management
