The public relations and marketing communications practices are evolving at an unprecedented pace, with insights and strategy development to assume greater and greater importance in the forseeable future. This role is for those interested in creating PR and digital campaigns built on critical thinking and creative storytelling.
The Strategic Planner will assist and—eventually—lead the development of programs for our strategic practice for the agency’s pitches, campaigns, and projects. He/She will report to the Strategy Director in a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment with the aim of winning new business, improving the Agency’s work for current clients, and setting best practices for the Strategy Department.
The position includes the following responsibilities:
- Active particpation in brainstorming for campaign and concept development
- Research using agency tools to develop data-driven communications recommendations
- Identify insights that make a meaningful impact in campaign storytelling
- Develop and present creative pitch decks that meet M2.0 standards
- Provide support to the Strategy Director in servicing both prospective clients and current ones
- Consult and particpate in internal and external projects that require strategic advisory
Two-year roadmap
Months 1-6
- Training in M2.0’s best practices for campaign development
- Immersion to internal servicing processes (Media Relations, Content Development, Community Management, and Creative)
- Provide support for Strategy Department’s campaign pitches for PR and Digital in the form of research, brainstorm particpation, and deck development
- At the end of the period, Strategic Planner will be given at least 1 pitch that he/she will lead with the supervision of the Strategy Director
- Performance evaluation at the end of period
Months 7-18
- Strategic Planner to co-lead pitches for PR and Digtal with Strategy Director
- Lead brainstorms with assigned team members from different servicing units
- Strategic Planner will develop at least 6 pitches with Strategy Director serving as consultant
- He/she will provide strategic counsel to servicing teams and current clients in M2.0 portfolio (PR and Digital)
- Strategic Planner to explore product development for the company’s strategic practice
- Performance evaluation at the end of Month 12
Months 19-24
- Strategic Planner to be assigned to at least two accounts, which he/she will cultivate from lead to pitch to servicing
- Depending on performance, Strategic Planner to supervise a Junior Strategic Planner to help manage the company’s pitch proposals
- Performance evaluation at the end of Month 24
Trình độ tối thiểu
- Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in communications, communications research, marketing, public relations, or related fields at an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in Communications Industry
- Competency with Microsoft Office (Word and Powerpoint)
- Must be critical thinker and results-oriented
