Art Director  

Lifestyle Asia is the leading luxury lifestyle magazine that provides well-made, creative, tasteful, and informative stories.

The Art Director of Lifestyle Asia is primarily responsible for the creation and execution of all editorial pages. This includes all regular sections, special features, supplements, departments (table of contents, masthead, editor's note, etc.), spine and cover. He/She must create and follow the design template and employ the proper usage of the magazine's fonts, colors, and design elements.

Must be able to conceptualize and provide possible treatments for editorial pages. This includes style direction for models, food, interiors/exteriors, products, makeup and grooming, photography and lighting appropriate for the magazine.

Modify and improve art (digital imaging), provide illustrations, source and create design elements and backgrounds. The Art Director shall also be responsible for completing text corrections, re-layouts, and dropouts. He/She must prepare files for the final artwork and proofing stages, and in some cases, for the pre pre-press stage (PDF).

Ensure that all ideas, concepts, and submissions are original, complete, and meet production deadlines.

• A graduate of Fine Arts, Multi-Media Arts, Information Design, Advertising, Visual Communication or Advertising;
• Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator;
• At least three (3) years experience in design and publication—preferably with exposure in ad agency work, magazine or newspaper publishing, photography, and production;
• Excellent oral and written communications;
• MAC and PC Computer proficiency;
• Highly creative and able to visualize, conceptualize;
• Competent presentation skills;
• Highly creative and detail oriented;
• Team oriented;
• Presentable and stylish
• Can work well under pressure;
• Willing to work long hours;
