Accountant  

GENERAL DUTIES:

In performing the Employee’s duties, the Employee shall:

• Faithfully and honestly serve the Employer;
• Use all reasonable endeavors to promote the Employer’s interests, reputation, and welfare;
• At all times appear in a presentable and professional manner including dressing in a professional manner as described in the Employer’s Code of Conduct; and act in a manner that will enhance the high-quality service reputation of the Employer;
• Strictly adhere to all of the Employer’s internal policies as amended from time to time and it is the responsibility of the Employee to re-familiarise themselves with the Employer’s internal policies. A persistent breach or non-observance of the Employer’s internal policies may result in disciplinary action;
• Attend all such meetings and other events and functions as the Employer may reasonably require in connection with the Employer’s business;
• Promptly notify the Employer in writing of any complaint or claim made against the Employer, or the Employee;
• Not pledge the credit of, or enter into any contract or agreement on behalf of, the Employer without the prior approval of the Employer;
• Not represent or purport to represent the Employer in their dealings, transactions or affairs otherwise than as may be expressly permitted in this Agreement;
• Comply with any and all legal obligations imposed on the Employee including a direction from the Employer to perform duties for its Related Bodies Corporate; and
• Comply with all of the Employee’s general law implied duties to the Employer as the Employee’s employer.

POSITION DUTIES:

Through the use of work papers and clients source documents for data entry as required, carry out:

• Reconciliations of general ledger and create financial reports to AASB standards;
• Production of all forms of Australian taxation returns including income tax, FBT, Superannuation
• Production of activity statements for Goods and Services Tax and Pay as you go Withholding and installments;
• Provision of tax advice to clients as required;
• Creation of tax plans for clients;
• Taxation research as required;
• All related work as required or requested

• Australian Accounting Experience
• At least 1-2 Years Experience in Australian Client
