Miêu Tả Về Công Việc
- Proofreads and checks materials against edited copy and ensures they are free from typographical, grammatical and other types of errors.
- Reviews and corrects finished pages.
- Cuts excess texts accordingly and ensures headline story is well-placed, and caption corresponds with picture.
- Executes the design and layout for the pre-press.
- Receives the dummies and other materials needed for the page and notes down the time he/she gets them.
- Prepares page templates on screen and marks all spaces booked for ads as well as editorial holes.
- Retrieves scanned images, photos, illustrations, infographics and logos for placement on the page templates.
- Ensures proper pagination of the page, including the date and folio.
- Encodes revisions on pages including headlines, captions and texts as instructed by Editors or Head of Editorial Production Systems.
Trình độ tối thiểu
- College graduate preferably major in Journalism, Mass Communication and preferably with background in computer
- 1 year experience as proofreader
- 1 year training in production work in a publishing firm
- Knowledge in PageMaker, Photoshop or any related pagination or editing software
- Proofreading skills, layouting skill
