- Assess patient's test request to ensure that there are no discrepancies, missing or duplicates in the test order.
- Reassures patients if they are nervous or distressed.
- Clearly explains the procedure to patient.
- Collects samples other than blood (e.g. Hair for hair follicle drug test, nail or skin scrapping for KOH, wound for gram stain and culture)
- Performs other duties that maybe assigned from time to time.
Trình độ tối thiểu
- Graduate of B.S. Medical Technologist, licensure exam is not a strict requirement;
- Graduate of B.S. Nursing with license and IV or Phlebotomy Training certificate;
- High degree of professional ethics, integrity and credibility is required;
- Ability to work calmly under pressure;
