NOC Engineer | Eastwood City  

Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineers monitor large computer networks and servers for problems from a central location,They look for hardware, software, and environmental alerts or malfunctions. When an issue is identified, NOC Engineers work to determine the cause of the problem

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
• Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application log.
• Support virtualization technology needs by providing and maintaining virtual servers.
• Experience managing, supporting and deploying network infrastructures
• Strong ability to diagnose server or network alerts, events or issues
• Understanding of common information architecture frameworks
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and projects with minimal supervision
• Support the direction of the organization with ability to learn new technologies and skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills, and ability to address conflict with others constructively
• Experience with Disaster Recovery plans and related technologies
• Ability to work a flexible schedule

• Bachelor's degree in IT related field is preferred.
• 1-2yrs Experience on Linux CentOS and Networking.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Willing to learn
• Knowledge in Basic Basic technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity.
• Knowledge in Linux Server and Windows Server Navigation and Operations
• Good temperament while working under pressure.
• Experience in infrastructure monitoring management (Elk stack, Grafana, Zabbix) is a plus.
• Experience in virtualization technology and Kubernetes is a plus
• Technical troubleshooting skills (patience and determination to find and solve problems)
• Willing to work on a graveyard shift 7pm-4am.
