About us

The Plastic Credit Exchange (HOPEx) is a non-profit founded by HOPE and its partners in order to prevent plastic waste from ending up in our oceans, landfills, and food chains. HOPEx takes plastic pledges from companies, and provides them with a way to offset their plastic footprints; that is, credible and verifiable post-consumer plastic removal from our environment. Overseen by a global steering committee, HOPEx maintains 100% transparency in its work.

Candidate profile:

We are looking for highly organized, passionate and self-starter individuals who are eager to be a part of a start-up plastic off-set business:

• Must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or any related course
• Must have at least 3 years of experience as a Finance and Admin Associate preferably in a highly transactional start-up company
• Ability to balance competing priorities and deadlines and to handle multiple tasks
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for a self-starter, environmentally savvy individuals with strong business acumen who is well-equipped to develop, improve and launch our plastic offset business.

• Preferably with a Master’s Degree in Business, or any related courses
• Strong operational experience; Must have at least 5 years in a senior management role in an environmental nonprofit organization and adept in working with a Board of Directors
• Experience in business development with proven track record of generating new revenue streams and improving financial results
• Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision making and reporting
• Strong network of contacts that helps projects done ethically and efficiently
• High-level strategic thinking and planning. Ability to envision and convey the organization’s strategic future to the staff and board.
