Software Engineer Manager

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our growing Manila engineering team. You will play a critical role in our senior Engineering management team by planning, managing, and monitoring engineering functions. You will be responsible for overseeing various engineering projects, processes, and timelines and making any necessary adjustments in order to ensure all external and internal requirements are met and our customers receive the best user experience.

Our engineering team work with the latest tech, and push code 30-40 times a day in a high-performance cloud environment. We develop core, revenue-generating products, which represents an opportunity to have a fundamental impact on our global business which connects more than 37 millions of employers and freelancers globally from over 247 countries, regions and territories. • Track record of managing high performance software engineering teams; Experience with collaborating with remote teams a plus
• Strong experience Experience with JavaScript, preferably Angular, ES2015+, TypeScript, or other common JS libraries and frameworks
• Strong experience with web development languages, such as Python, Golang and PHP
• Experience with relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL
• Solid Linux experience
• Good hands-on knowledge of Configuration Management and Deployment tools like – Puppet, Terraform etc.
• Experience in developing Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery pipelines (CI/ CD)
• Background in web engineering at scale
• A Github page with contributions to open source software
• Tertiary Degree in Computer Science / Engineering (or related); MS or PhD a plus
