- Manage mechanical design works, research applicable design criteria, attend project meetings, communicate with members of the project team, and report progress to the Design Coordinator.
- Coordinate all technical and administrative elements of each allocated design project to ensure all work is delivered in a professional, effective, and efficient manner while applying sound engineering principles.
- Deliver innovative, sustainable, efficient, safe, practical, and intelligent mechanical engineering solutions on all projects and other activities, appropriate to the stage and type of project.
- Design mechanical and electromechanical equipment and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.
- Perform calculations and analysis on the proposed mechanical devices and equipment.
- Ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and client requirements by preparing mechanical systems specifications and technical drawings.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or client requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
- Develop solutions to challenges within budget, schedule, and project constraints.
- Ensure health and safety are considered at all stages of the design process such that the designs produced minimize risk during construction while exceeding the client’s expectations.
- Prepare drawing packages for all stages of projects from Basis of Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Contract Administration.
- Ensure quality and efficiency for assigned tasks and deliverables.
- Actively work on high-level tasks and deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prepare for regular project team meetings pertaining to project tasks, deliverables, and milestones.
- Review shop drawings and samples to ensure drawings and finishes match specifications.
- Revisit designs and make adjustments to designs as needed.
- Liaise with various professionals and departments to coordinate project details.
Trình độ tối thiểu
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Active license to practice from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is required.
- Accredited and a member of their respective profession’s organization.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Well-versed in international and local codes, standards, and regulations.
- Good written and verbal communication abilities, including preparing and giving presentations.
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit MEP, BIM 360 Cloud, and other design software.
- At least 5 years of experience in design and construction projects.
