Video Editor  

Our Editors are the swordsmen of the Video Department; they must have the skill and craftsmanship to cut and polish shots in order to form the narratives of the video projects they handle. They are highly creative, able to reconcile the Director’s vision, the Videographer’s shots, and the Client’s mandatories into a beautifully-contructed video output that matches our storytelling standards.

Responsibilities

• Insert dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects
• Ensure the project follows a logical sequence
• Consults with the Director and production team throughout the project
• Creates the final cut for broadcasting
• Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
• Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and best practices to maximize efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Highly proficient in foundational video editing techniques.
• Knowledgeable in the basics of videography and motion graphics.
• Proficient in the use of Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects in a Mac OS X operating system
• Must have at least 2 year's relevant experience
• Flexible and can adapt to a fast-paced environment
