Network Administrator  

To provide technical networking support to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the network infrastructure and networking systems of all branches.

Key responsibilities

• Install, administer, and test network components such as hubs, routers, switches, cables and other components.
• Designs the network infrastructure (physical and virtual) to ensure the efficiency of the networking systems.
• Maintains network operations and firewall applications and network monitoring applications (e.g., servers, firewall, WEB, proxy, and others) to ensure efficient network operations.
• Diagnoses, isolates, and resolves routine to moderate/ highly complex network related problems ensuring timely results and minimal disruption of operations.
• Troubleshoots network failures and errors and provides technical assistance to internal and external customers, as necessary.
• Provides guidance to operations support staff during emergency work requests.
• Research on new trends, products and equipment, and makes the necessary recommendations to enhance the current infrastructure of the different branches.
• Makes recommendations to the ICT Operation Support Manager for the layout and arrangement of network components, and performs facility surveys for network communications.
• Assists the ICT Operations Support Manager in assessing proposals of vendors for network components, equipment, cables for new implementations and upgrades.
• Sets up new user accounts and profiles (e.g., VPN account, email, internet/proxy, FTP, messaging and network accounts).
• Performs other tasks as directed from time to time.

• Must at least have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology
• Must at least have 3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Extensive knowledge in computer networking and other communication systems and programs is a must
