Collections Specialist  

Assists with the collection of outstanding accounts receivables.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain spreadsheets for fees for accounting purposes
• Track and monitor aging accounts receivable
• Liaise with invoicing and finance as required to reconcile any invoicing or accounting issues
• Produce AR reports as requested
• Collection of fees E.g.:
• Contact internal and external clients by phone or email to discuss outstanding fees
• Identify with the client expected payment date(s)
• Document all attempts to collect (successful and unsuccessful contacts)
• Set timeline and method for next contact
• Escalate to branch manager or supervisor as required
• Assist with general clerical duties as assigned
• Provide back-up for general clerical positions

• High-degree of professionalism and client relations skills
• Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office, Windows
• Moderate to advanced Excel skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent phone manner
• A flexible team player
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
• Ability to read and write French would be considered an asset

Experience:

• Two years’ experience in a support or clerical role
• Familiarity with basic financial principles
