Content Writer (Office Based - Ortigas)  

The Content Writer maintains up-to-date print and online media content, ensuring the Company’s online footprint is effective, by writing blogs and articles, posting on social media, developing marketing materials and managing the company website content.

Task and Responsibilities

The Content Writer will work across a variety of print and online media. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Blog and News Articles

• Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews, and studies)
• Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
• Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles
• Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
• Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone)

Social Media Posts

• Write engaging web copy in a real-time environment to stimulate user interaction, discussion, and engagement on social media platforms
• Creative input on content; presenting ideas on social media viral marketing
• Generate content for regular social media posts, images, and videos
• Promote content on social media

Others

• Write clear marketing copy to promote Company products/services
  • Case studies
  • Product data and specification sheets
  • Presentations
  • Press release articles
• Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
• Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Update website content as needed

Key Measurements

• Quality of written work submitted/uploaded
• Web-site traffic
• Clicks/visits to online content
• Performance against agreed KPI’s

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field
• Proven work experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role, with a portfolio of published articles
• Experience doing research using multiple sources
• Familiarity with web publications
• Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)

• Excellent overall writing skills in a number of different styles/tones
• Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English, and impeccable spelling and grammar
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• A deep understanding of consumers and what motivates them online
• Great research, organizational, and learning skills
• Strong understanding of, and capability using, a variety of software, including MS Office Google Suite
• Familiarity with keyword placement and other SEO best practices
• Some experience with online marketing and lead generation
• An understanding of formatting articles on the web
• Ability to meet commitments and deadlines under pressure
• Motivation, maturity, autonomy, and the ability to work with a team.
