IT Recruiter  

We are looking for an IT Recruiter who will deliver across Canva's recruitment lifecycle and its different channels. The role will be hiring for Canva's software engineering team, provide a fantastic candidate experience and close all hiring needs. You will work closely with the People Operations team in Sydney, and appropriate line stakeholders - to understand resourcing challenges, and craft well-researched and effective solutions for them. While most of your efforts will be focused on resolving resourcing challenges in Sydney - there will be occasions where Manila resourcing challenges will need to be supported.

• Filtering and high-level screening of inbound applications for the Canva’s software engineering team
• Ownership for filtering and screening of active candidate across the various recruitment platforms and technologies utilized by the Canva People Operations team
• Market mapping organizations with passive talent in line with the needs of Canva’s engineering team
• Engaging in initial screening discussions with candidates from all over the world
• Ensure the integrity of the information entered into our applicant tracking system
• Work side by side with the recruitment leads in the Sydney office to ensure the integrity and high quality of applicants entering the top of the recruitment funnel.
• Promote and support the data driven talent acquisition approach and strive for constant collaboration across both the Sydney and Manila offices

• Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills - you will have to be comfortable editing job descriptions, working with email templates, engaging in candidate correspondence (via e-mail or video calls), and managing internal communication across the team
• Previous experience as a talent sourcer, a recruiter, or an HR professional
• An interest in high-growth technology startup companies
• Proven capacity to develop and maintain successful stakeholder relationships across the People Operations team and the wide Canva business
• Interest and passion to work within a fast-paced, cross-cultural, design startup environment
• Experience managing small projects with a focus on quality and on-time turnaround of deliverables
• Highly Desireable: A fundamental understanding of technology concepts, specifically with respect to software development.
