Official Title: Revenue Officer I (Collection)

Salary Grade: SG11

Job Description:

Collects or accepts payments of internal revenue taxes; receives, sorts, posts, analyzes collection and inspection reports & consolidates tax collection data
Collects receivable accounts in jurisdiction; conducts tax campaigns for the collection of delinquent accounts & ascertains the presence of taxable business not concurrently being taxed
Executes warrant of distrain and levy
Assists in the maintenance and safekeeping of seized and forfeited properties in keeping and maintaining an accurate record of all such properties & in inspecting periodically the condition of such properties
Prepares required reports or does related work.

Job Description:

Gathers, studies, collates, evaluates and analyses information data relative to assessment, collection, operations/problems; assists in the planning and implementation of work programs and projects of the section
Formulates and recommends assessment/collection policies; or does related work.

Official Title: Revenue Officer I (Excise)

Salary Grade: SG11

Conducts regular or special inspection of small plants or establishments producing articles subject to specific taxes or governed by tobacco inspection laws and regulations including the methods of operations, stocktaking, pertinent books, records and reports
Oversees factory activities on rotation with other enforcement officers on a 24-hour duty
May assist in the detection and surveillance of movements of shipments of leaf tobacco not duly covered or accompanied by necessary official “guias” and in cases of erring leaf tobacco dealer submits reports and recommendations or investigations; and does related work.

Must have graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce, or Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with 18 units in Accounting
Must have Career Service Professional (CSP) Eligibility
