What is 'BCG Giving Back'?

BCG Giving Back is a program run by BCG consultants as part of our commitment to social impact. It is a non-profit project, in which BCG consultants act as mentors to a team of students in partnership with a social enterprise to solve real challenges.

In BCG Giving Back 2017, participants will have opportunity to work with BCG consultants to provide strategic advice to our social enterprise client, Vasham. Vasham is a social enterprise that leverages a closed loop business model to provide Indonesian smallholder farmers with the financing, expertise, and income security they need to achieve significantly better standards of living.

We will help Vasham develop key initiatives to improve business of Indonesian smallholder farmers, set up Project Management Office (PMO) to support pilot initiative in Lampung. The project will start at end of March/ first week of April for the duration of 2 months.

Participant Criteria

• Have a GPA >3.50 / Distinction.
• 3rd or final year student in from top universities.
• Willing to commit to ~8 hours of work/week (can be done remotely).
• Available to spend half a day, at least once a week at a location off campus.
• Available to come to BCG / client office for kickoff meeting at end of March/first week of April.
