The QA Manager will be focused on quality improvement and process optimization and will be working closely with project and department managers, team leads, support teams, and QA teams to iteratively improve the company’s software development processes. The QA manager will also participate in guiding the direction of the project development up to the project base.
- Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
- Provides leadership and direction to Quality assurance team to streamline, integrate and improve the internal monitoring process
- Champions a positive employee environment by promoting open communication, engagement, and development of team members.
- Responsible for providing consistent performance feedback and coaching and completing formal performance reviews.
- Provide direction in quality assurance within operations and other business functions, with a focus on preventative measures and continuous improvement of products and processes.
- Identifies relevant quality-related training needs and organizes necessary Quality training for departments
- Performs and coordinates quality audits and inspections
- Sets Quality compliance objectives and ensures that the targets are achieved
- Develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality
- Develop a quality planning pipeline of quality improvement activities
- Ensures effective management and control of product/process deviations for all released product and for the implementation of effective corrective action when non-conformances arise.
- Determines staffing requirements to meet department deliverables
- Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
- Support the vision and strategy to establish a Quality Community of Practice (CoP)
- The successful candidate is an experienced but hands-on manager who can build an organization and ensure it performs.

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and at least 2 years management/supervisory experience
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Demonstrated leadership ability to develop and implement organization and functional strategy. Initiates, sponsors, and implements change with a demonstrated track record in QA Improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to make timely and sound decisions, through effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions. Works with a sense of urgency at all times.
- Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements.
- Must be able to work in a team & individual environments, interacting effectively at all levels, and across all functions with the ability to develop an organizational relationship and build trust.
- High level of technical competence to include proficiency with Microsoft Office including Access and Excel with 4 years of development detailed reporting and modeling
- Demonstrated experience in writing and revising policy and procedures as needed
- Ability to think creatively and use various methods in problem-solving; ability to anticipate and resolve problems
- Superior analytical and investigative abilities
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Must be able to prioritize duties
- Proven and effective leadership and supervisory skills; ability to teach, coach, motivate and lead subordinates
