Product Designer  

What we're looking for

Ascent is looking for a Product Designer who can work closely with senior leaders to shape how we build and grow our platform in the region. You'll be working as part of a team, creating innovative new features and maintaining existing ones for Ascent. If you have a keen eye for details and high standards for user interaction and design, we’d love to talk to you!

Responsibilities

• Clearly articulate Web-app design vision and collaborate with product owners to ideate new products and features
• Identify design opportunities for increasing web-app retention and web engagement through user interviews and quantitative user data
• Create wireframes, visual designs, beautiful icons and elegant layouts for desktop, mobile and tablet webframes.
• Develop pixel-perfect specs and design documentation based on product requirements.
• Work within existing style guidelines and create a consistent look that aligns with Ascent's brand.
• Analyze data-driven insights and user research to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure creative styles are within technical constraints.
• Participate in agile sprints

• Bachelors Degree or Diploma in design or a related field or 2-3 years of professional UI/UX design with web/mobile app focus
• Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills in English
• Extensive portfolio of work across multiple platforms (UI design, illustration and brand development)
• Proficient in Sketch and Adobe Suite, Invision or related prototyping softwares
• Understanding of UI/UX, interaction design, HCI and animation principles
• Attention to details and consistency
• Intermediate understanding of HTML/CSS and basic understanding of React
