Software Development Manager  

Allied World Healthcare has started a number of new projects in the Philippines, and are looking to build an IT DevOps (development and operations team) here to manage two existing products and work on the development of two more. You will work as part of a young team in a fast growing start up, actively contributing to the business and service needs.

As a small organisation, you will work on both product support, bug fixing and enhancements, as well as on completely new and bespoke products.

All products are focussed on healthcare, and actively support low- and middle-income communities access basic, free healthcare services.

Title: DevOps Analyst

Duration: Flexible fixed term contract

Start Date: late-March 2017 onwards

Location: Philippines-based with travel (Singapore and other South East Asian countrie)

Must have: Valid passport, permission to work in the Philippines

Reporting to: CTO

Most of the time you’ll work between 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. This is flexible, and we are open to working from home and other arrangements. However, as an international team there will be some requirement to travel and attend meetings/calls outside of core hours to fit in with other time zones. This will be minimised wherever possible.

Allied World Healthcare has an experienced team, and will actively look to train and develop any graduates we work with. This will involve both on the job training in development methods and systems, along with focussed, external classroom education in development and coding skills relevant to the job description.

• A degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as Java, Javacript, etc.
• Some may require experience with database management systems.
• Up-to-date knowledge of technologies, Agile development methods, and development tools (Jira etc).
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Strong problem solving and customer service skills,
• Strong team working focus.
• A good eye for detail.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
