Business Development Associate  

The Business Development (BD) Associate role helps with the BD team to provide Relevant, Value-adding and Actionable (RVA) proposals and deliver client satisfaction. The BD Associate is responsible for ensuring the process is efficient and maintaining a healthy pipeline of projects for Acumen.

The essential tasks and activities are:

1. Support the Business Development Team by:

• Preparing and securing credentials and pitch meetings including deck development, organizing internal huddles, arranging logistics, and coordinating costs with affiliates and suppliers
• Quickly responding to client inquiries and managing stakeholders of the BD process to keep the leads warm
• Actively listening and effectively capturing meeting notes to provide input to credentials presentations and project design
• Coordinating with Knowledge Center to provide necessary initial research and client background check
• Managing CRM files and generating a master client database to properly document all BD activities and improve the process

2. Seek business and relationship-building opportunities to secure new clients (not existing) by prospecting, promoting the company, attending conferences and professional association meetings to gather lead for the Managing Director and Client Directors to pursue.

3. Ensure there is proper alignment and clear expectations and deliverables from project turnover between the project team and client to enable Operations Team to deliver RVA solutions.

• At least three (3) years of experience in Business Development, Solutions Design and/or Pitches
• Has general understanding of how the business and market works
• Can quickly understand client’s business situation and needs
• Ability to apply knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to move along the Business Development process quickly and effectively
