The Junior Accountant is primarily responsible for maintaining and recording day-to-day financial transactions under Loft, which include, but not limited to, A/P, A/R, payroll and tax compliance.

The Junior Accountant will work closely with the General Accountant and Accounting Supervisor. S/he should also be able to effectively coordinate with the Loft Sales Team and August 99 Money Matters Team. S/he must also ensure that all transactions are properly documented and address all discrepancies and concerns as they arise.

 

Responsibilities

<ul>
	<li>Record day to day transactions for sales and purchases</li>
	<li>Prepares payroll register and statutory schedules with minimal number of employees</li>
	<li>Analyze reports generated from the accounting system</li>
	<li>Conduct month-end and year-end close process</li>
	<li>Deliver excellent customer service to Loft clients and team by addressing questions professionally and promptly</li>
	<li>Work on special projects such as process improvements, data analysis/compilation, presentations, report building, etc.</li>
	<li>Other duties that may be assigned by the Finance Manager and Loft Division Head</li>

Creating Info

	<li>Create financial statements, schedules, analyses reports and other fiscal reports</li>
	<li>Prepare invoices for billing to clients including compilation of supporting documents for service invoice preparation.</li>
	<li>Ensure timeliness and accuracy of billing statements and statement of accounts</li>
	<li>Ensure absence of legitimate client complaints regarding billing &amp; collection</li>
	<li>Prepare ad hoc analysis and reports that the management may require from time to time</li>
	<li>Maintain accounting controls by formulating internal accounting policies and procedures</li>
	<li>Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents</li>
	<li>Ensure efficient input and handling of financial data and reports for the company’s internal/accounting/sales system (Zayls, etc)</li>
	<li>Serve as a Subject Matter Expert who will provide accounting expertise as needed by the internal/development team</li>
	<li>Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed</li>

	<li>This position is a combination of being a Subject Matter Expert for the development of our systems and some internal accounting works (mostly billing &amp; collection &amp; financial reportings/ad hocs)</li>
