Job Description
The BI Analyst is primarily responsible for providing analytical support through business intelligence tools to address HR business needs. Reporting to Head of Rewards, Operation, and Analytics , the incumbent will perform slide and dice the datasets and perform analysis to gather useful insights for the end users. He/she also needs to work closely with other Functions in HR in identifying and interpreting the business implications of the trends and insights. The person will need to ensure that the data extracted from HR database reconciles with the financial and management report and understand underlying reasons for any discrepancies before analyzing the data.
Roles and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Support Head of Rewards, Operations and Analytics in the development and execution of reward strategy, policies and procedures in accordance with the Chief Human Resource Officer direction, Group direction, Rewards Department priorities and performance targets
- Assist Head of Rewards, Operations and Analytics in the decision making process
- Work closely with end-users to understand their business requirements and subsequently the data requirements that will influence strategic decisions
- Perform data and statistical analysis by slicing and dicing the datasets as required to identify trends and business insights
- Coordinate with Head of Rewards, Operations and Analytics and the end-users to understand and interpret the business implications of the trends and insights from HR Analytics.
- Design and manage standardized business intelligence dashboard templates and communicate the templates to all end-users to their use
- Identify any data anomalies (e.g., conflicting data, missing data, unreasonable trends etc.), liaise with relevant stakeholders (including the Management Accounting team) to understand the underlying reasons behind the anomalies and consult with Head of Rewards, Analytics, and Operations on the next action steps as and when necessary
- Review, identify improvement, and work closely with other HR functions on business process and service improvement opportunity.
- Manage within HRIS team, reliability and accuracy of HR master data by optimizing ERP system and business processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in Data Analysis, Operational or Process roles
- Proficiency in Power BI
- Understanding in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), HRIS and other database systems
- Experience in driving process change and integration
- Good understanding of data collection & analysis
- Good strategic and analytical skills, sharp discernment skills and ability to execute good judgment
- Good conceptual skills to strategically develop solutions to complex problems
- Excellent adaptability, analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills with ability to analyse data and draw sound actionable insights
