In another year of unprecedented growth, the company helmed a number of events, strengthened new and existing partnerships, and continued to grow its valued user-base, among others

Seemingly winding down as quickly as it began, 2019 has proven to be among the most eventful in recent memory. From a questionable “water crisis” in Metro Manila in the middle of the year to the country’s dominance in the recently concluded Southeast Asian Games, there is no singular event that can solely define the past 12 months that was.

This is certainly the case for Kalibrr, as the leading end-to-end recruitment solutions provider in Southeast Asia has the most productive year so far in its relatively young history, with multiple events and milestones having shaped its 2019.

Collaborations and Partnerships

Kalibrr started off the year by continuing its efforts from the prior year of working with schools and other organizations to help ensure that meaningful career opportunities reach qualified Filipino talent and that those job seekers are also equipped with the best possible online tools, information, and advice to help them succeed.

Among the partnerships which Kalibrr officially entered in 2019 were those with the Ateneo de Manila University, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and PHINMA Education Holdings Inc.

The company also joined 15 other ventures from all over the world for the first annual Unreasonable FUTURE program, a multi-year collaboration aimed at aligning the future of work with social equity, and for the second year in a row, was the sponsor and presenter of the Top Employer Award at this year’s Asia CEO Awards.

An Expanded Talent Ecosystem

On the heels of Kalibrr partnering with Facebook in 2018 to have the jobs of Kalibrr partner-employers automatically syndicated on the social-media giant’s Jobs on Facebook pages, 2019 also saw the company become a launch partner of Job Search on Google.

The partnership with the multinational technology company has allowed Kalibrr to further expand the talent ecosystem for partner-employers, with the latter enjoying access to talent who express interest in their jobs either by way of the Kalibrr website, or through their posts’ automatic syndication to sites such as Jobs on Facebook, Indeed, Linkedin, and since 2019, Job Search on Google.

Connecting and Community

Given the growth and evolution of Human Resources and Recruitment, and the further integration of technological advancement within it and other industries, Kalibrr continues to see it fit to bring together HR executives and other industry leaders on a regular basis to connect and share their experiences and expertise to the benefit of this community.

The company continues to do this through Kalibrr Communities, which is a gathering of professionals centered on human resources, recruitment, and workplace culture, and the related trends, technologies, and growth strategies. In 2019, the company held five series of K-Comm events:

  • Hack the Future 2.0 – A gathering centered on how to build talented tech teams, held in cooperation with shared office space provider WeWork

  • Girl Boss 2.0 – A discussion on the aspirations, challenges, and successes of women at work, at home, and as leaders and individuals

  • Zillennials – A discussion about Gen Z and how these “Zillennials” impact the job market and workplace

  • Your Tomorrow Team –  A gathering centered on how organizations can build/develop their own data science teams

  • Everyone’s Workplace – A gathering of professionals engaged in different diversity and inclusivity initiatives to share their insights and expertise in how companies can be designed into ‘everyone’s workplace’

An Event Redefining the Common Job Fair

As previously mentioned, Kalibrr had entered and expanded its working relationships with other organizations in 2019. Among the most notable of these is the partnership with FutureProof, the events and content company behind innovative learning experiences like DigiCon, which resulted in the first-ever CareerCon being held last July at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City.

An event that showcases specialized jobs and talents in today’s digital economy, CareerCon was developed by FutureProof and Kalibrr in an effort to redefine what a job fair is. It distinguishing itself from typical job fairs by being a platform for discovery of top talent and an event for both job seekers who are currently unemployed and for ‘growth seekers’ who want to further define their career paths.

Over 2.7 Million Qualified Professionals, and Counting

As Kalibrr entered 2019, the platform at the time featured just a little over 1.6 million qualified professionals. Thanks in large to the previously mentioned events and partnerships, the company had seen significant growth in its user-base, ending 2019 with well over 2.7 million professionals registered and using Kalibrr.

This has meant more talent to directly connect with for Kalibrr’s partner employers, ultimately allowing them to find the ideal fit for the various roles in their companies. Along with the nearing-3 million job seekers on Kalibrr, as previously mentioned, are the millions of others on Facebook, Google, and Linkedin which the employers are able to conveniently reach when posting on the platform.

Client Appreciation

While the year has been busy and eventful, it would be remiss of Kalibrr to not recognize the partners that have made its milestones possible. As such, the company held the Kalibrr Client Appreciation Night for the second year in a row to duly recognize the organizations and individuals who were key in making it the biggest year so far in the company’s relatively short history.

Over fifty companies and organizations were present as the company once again held the 2019 Kalibrr Client Appreciation Night at Kickstart Ventures at 55 Paseo in Makati City. Several were recognized for their continued efforts in Philippine recruitment, reputation as ideal employers, and most importantly, as partners that share with Kalibrr in the goal of connecting qualified Filipino professionals with meaningful career opportunities.

As Kalibrr enters 2020, it looks forward to working with new investors and more partner-employers and job seekers, with 2019 proof that there is plenty more to expect on the horizon for the local HR, recruitment, and tech industries.
