I bet you're excited to receive your 13th month pay or Christmas bonus. You're probably thinking of budgeting it to buy Christmas gifts, eat at the newest restaurants you've been dying to try since October, or watch all those Christmas movies with your family. Right?
And then the inevitable happens. Before New Year, you're good as broke again.
Yes, you might feel a certain fulfillment when you've got all that extra cash on hand, but think about the feelings and consequences you'll have come January. Not saying that you shouldn't spend it, because of course, you deserve it after the hard work you've done the past year. I'm saying, it's best to know how to spend it the smart way.
We got a chance to speak with financial advisor Argel Tiburcio, and here's his advice on how to spend your 13th month pay the smart way.
When he is not busy watching cooking shows or playing 1st person shooting games, Argel consistently invests in the stock market, tinkers with his websites and reads a lot of books. He also helps Pinoys create, manage, grow and protect their wealth as a licensed financial advisor. Get in touch with him by sending an email to email@example.com or follow him on Facebook.
